Service

Fix'n to fix'emFix'n to fix'em Let’s keep you riding: We believe that you should not have to wait a week to get your bike back. Bikes on the Drive’s service team will do its best to get your bike up and running as soon as possible. Quick repairs are done on the day they are brought in. Appointments are made when service cannot be done quickly enough. We get you safe and on the road and then book your bike in when we have to time to do all the necessary repairs. We ask first: Don’t worry about showing up and having to pay more than the original quote. Our service team will call you if they have to do extra work. We assess bikes thoroughly on a work stand while you wait and we give as accurate a quote as possible. We listen to your needs and budget. We are professionals: We do the work that was agreed to. When the repair work is done we test ride the bike and fill out the appropriate checklist. If we’ve missed something we will call you and discuss solutions to make your bike work properly.

Not all Tune-ups are the same: We tell you up front what our tune-up includes. We do a 50-point inspection of your bike. We adjust all bearing systems. We true your wheels. Adjust your gears and brakes. We wipe your bike down, oil (and wipe) your chain and fill your tires. You get a comprehensive 50-point report card back with your bicycle showing the condition of your bike after the tune-up. It includes your bicycle’s serial number. Wheel BuildingWheel Building Custom Wheel Builds: Building a durable, repairable wheel that will stand up to your needs can only be properly done by hand. Pick your favorite parts and let our certified wheel builders hand lace your next wheel. A machine built wheel is not properly pre-stressed nor are the spokes bent to the shape of the hub. A hand built wheel also is certain to have even and proper tension on each spoke. This all makes your wheel as strong as can be and will hold its true for longer with minimal settling in.
